HELPING YOU LAUNCH YOUR APP
If you have a great idea for an app but don’t know how to get it built we’re here to help – from your initial idea right through to releasing on the app stores.
You’ve been thinking about your app for a while, so its really important that we understand your vision and get it right.
If you’re ready to take the next step from idea to app, here’s how we can help with our 3 stage approach:
At the end of Stage 1 you’ll have all the information you need to decide whether to proceed to the next stage to scope out your app. You’ll know whether it’s doable, what it will take to build, and a ballpark cost.
Whether it’s an idea in your head, or if you’ve done some drawings and an outline plan, the first stage is an expert review.
What’s included:
Cost: £250
The next stage is a detailed project plan to set out what it will take to build your app in terms of features, technology, time and cost.
If you skip the scope stage what usually happens is that you’ll add too many features or need to make a lot of changes. So getting this right before the build is really important so that it doesn’t end up costing more.
Whats included:
At the end of Stage 2 you’ll have a clear plan with a technical specification, design, and cost breakdown.
You can use this to go ahead and build your app with us, take it to another developer, or use it in your investment pitch.
Cost: from £500
(Costs vary depending on how complex the app is)
Our skilled and experienced team will develop your app and we’ll manage the whole process for you.
We’ll be on hand throughout for regular work in progress updates so that you can view your app being built.
Whats included:
Cost: from £5k
Harry came to us with an idea for a rewards app for University coffee shops to promote sustainability and reusable cups. He didn’t know if it was doable, what technology was involved, or how much it would cost.
With a big wishlist of features we helped Harry put them in order of importance and made sure the app design would work for the students who would be using it. On the tech side we came up with a process for customers to claim reward stamps.
Harry is now ready to take his idea to investors – he knows that it is viable, what is involved in building the app, how long it will take and how much it will cost.
“Kim and Ollie are super professional and friendly. They have provided very in-depth explanations and were very clear to explain unfamiliar terms. They really have been such a pleasure to work with!”

Ryan had been thinking about his idea for a few years, a social recruitment app for global air and marine crew. With the idea still on paper, Ryan started pitching to investors. He realised he needed an MVP (first version of an app, the Minimum Viable Product) to demonstrate the concept and to understand what it would take to build and how much it would cost.
We helped Ryan decide which features were most important and designed a set of wireframes for all of the main screens. We detailed all of the technical processes and technology needed to build a complicated app, including Google and Amazon Web Services.
“Wonderful insights from the team at Bouran. Its clarified what we need and how best to move forward”

With a tight budget and a short deadline, Paul wanted a digital trail around Bournemouth town centre for Christmas. He needed to know if we could create an experience using cutting edge tech in time for the start of the festive season.
We worked with Paul to design and build an app called HUNTA that used Augmented Reality to create fun and excitement with fireworks, bouncing baubles and a musical nutcracker.
Here’s Paul Kinvig from the Bid talking about the app:
No, you do not need any technical skills. We’ll manage the development team for you and be on hand throughout to explain the process.
If you have some sketches and an outline of your app thats great. If not then don’t worry, you can explain your idea as part of the Stage 1 Review.
App development starts from around £5k for a simple app and from around £50k for a really complex app with lots of features.
Stage 1 (Review) takes around 1-2 weeks, Stage 2 (Scoping) 2-3 weeks, and Stage 3 (Design & build) from around 1-4 months depending on how complex your app is.
